Rietz Group Photo - Source: Georgia Mae (Rietz) Parker. Notation with photo: Picture of the living children of Henry Rietz & wife Caroline Bachman Rietz, probably taken about 1916. The picture shows all the 7 living sons and 6 of the wives. The wife of son Henry had already died young and son George Rietz (grandfather of G.P.) was already dead for several years. A young son Albert died in 1895. Bertha (wife of son George Rietz) obviously was not present at this celebration.  G.P.

After receiving this picture with all the names & dates very clear, I now believe that James Rogers was either a widower or divorcee when Alma married him & the oldest 3 children on this picture are his by a previous marriage. I was told by family that Alma married against the wishes of her family!
